Tiny-tiny Beer for What?
When it comes to a product development in business, there's always a cause and a reason. Companies are investing billions of dollars/yen/euro in advance so that there's better be a legitimate explanation/reasoning behind its process and decisions.
Then, here's a question to all the marketers and strategic business consultants.
Kirin Ichiban shibori has 4 selections of size when it comes to a can. 135ml, 250ml, 350ml, and 500ml. While 350ml and 500ml cans are ubiquitous, why producing 135ml and 250ml?
EDGY JAPAN was in touch with Kirin and found out stories behind these creations.

135ml: One Coin Policy
135ml can is sold JPY100. A potential customer will find it easier and feel convenient if she/he can buy beer with 1 coin.
250ml: Just to Quench Your Thirst Policy
According to Kirin, 250ml is the optimum volume to quench your thirst with beer. (Just to soak your throat.)
Quite an interesting strategy, but makes EDGY JAPAN curious how these ideas are perceived in non Japanese country...If you want to comment on it, use the DUSQUS form below.
