The King of Tokyo Drinking Suburb
Suburb. That's the place where "ordinary people" lives. If you want to get to know how people in a certain city/country live, suburb is the location to be. To name some -- Sha Tin in Hong Kong, Westchester in New York City, and Surrey in London.
Futakotamagawa, the southern border of Tokyo, is one of the Tokyo suburbs that has the best balance of commercial development and nature. It's a home of Tamagawa Takashimaya, a major department store with tons of supplies (in terms of out door drinking goes), and Tamagawa River a soothing river.
