Under the Busy Train Track, 1 Liter Beer Jug, Guiness with Sashimi
A principle of "bigger the better" can't be applied to Japan. Simply, it's because Japan's land area, resource, or even human body is not as abundant/big as counties like the US, Russia, and China. (That's why companies like SONY and Panasonic managed to invent tiny-yet-high-spec-products. A challenge is a great driving force to initiate great inventions.)
But when it comes to a consumption of alcohol, this isn't the case. A 1 liter beer jug is a common scenery at Shinhinomoto, a Japanese style izakaya in Yurakucho, Tokyo.

Speaking of Shihinomoto, this is one of the edgy-est izakaya in in the city.
1. 1 Liter Sapporo Beer Jug
One of not-so-many places in Tokyo that serves 1L-beer.
2. Guiness with sashimi
One of a few places in the world that serves tapped Guiness and sashimi.
3. Manager is British.
Andy-san, who speaks fluent Japanese is operating the joint for years.
There's no other city in the world where you can you experience izakaya, managed by British, serves typical Japanese izakaya food, and tapped Guiness under the train track. Highly recommend to someone seeking for edgy drinking/eating experiences.
