Edgy Outdoor Pint: Harumi Triton Square

by Hiroki Yanagisawa on February 16, 2010 5:20 PM

People say that a set of beer and beach is a golden combination. Try to make a visit tor Agios Prokopios in Naxos Island, Enoshima in Shonan, or Krabi in Thailand -- what you can witness is vacationers with a can/bottle of beer on one hand, and a favorite novel on the other hand. The power of sun, ocean, and vastness is one of the factors that contributes to this beer-soothing environment.

Speaking of the vastness in a city environment, probably a bank of a river can be one of the closest locations. It's no surprise to find out there's a bunch of pubs in along the River Themes in London.

For Tokyo, the east side of Tokyo is known as a water city -- rivers and canals are running across the city. This special environment has created many ultimate locations for outdoor drinking.

River, canal, river, canal. East Side of Tokyo.

Harumi Triton Square, an office-shopping mall complex, in Kachidoki is one of the locations that qualifies this criteria.

A part of the first floor is a food court, called Triton Collection, There is a bar section and for JPY500, your perfect Asahi's Super Dry's pint is on your way. (Unfortunately, not Extra Cold. Wine and sake are also available.)

Seats are available in the building, but if the weather is good, go out and try the terrace seats. Canals are running around the complex.

More information on Kachidoki -- it is one of the areas, which was developed in the last decades for residences. On the weekends, Triton Collection becomes a gathering place for the nearby residents.
