Best Pint: Asahi Super Dry Extra Cold
by Hiroki Yanagisawa on January 31, 2010 6:17 PM
Asahi Super Dry is, to Philippino, it's San Miguel and to American, it's Budweiser. It's the most popular beer brand (sales-wise) in Japan. If you're a pint lover, its dry and throat-refreshing moment is one of the Japan-only experiences never to be missed.
Asahi added "Extra Cold" to its lineup. It's sub-zero beer temperature is a catalyst for more dryness to your throat.
This treat is available at limited locations and in Tokyo, Asakusa, one of the most famous tourist spots is the place. Cross Azumabashi Bridge and there's a headquarter of Asahi Beer, also know as Asahi Beer Tower. (Some people refer it as Poop Tower.) Underneath, there's Asahi Annex (picture blow), a four-story restaurant complex. Walk ito any floor and there it is. The best pint.
(*To be exact, one serving of Asahi Beer Extra Cold is 375ml, a bit less than a pint.)
JPY550/serving
