A word, kawaii, is becoming something like kimono or Honda. A Japanese word, turning itself into an English word.
「かわいい」という言葉はキモノやホンダのように、英語化された言葉の一つだ。

Why? That's because there are many kawaii things all over Japan. Some people from overseas take this kawaii essence as a representation of Japan.
なぜかって？　それは「かわいい」モノが日本の町中にあふれているからだ。一部の外国人はこの「かわいい」を日本の象徴として捉えている。
