Its trend (custom?) extends to this. Eco Othello. (Eco usually means environmentally feasible in Japanese.)

What does it mean? The board and chip are made from biomass chip, derived from coffee bean's skin.
It's cool to be conscious on the environment, but I can't stop wondering .... why Othello?
Maybe the manufacturer, MegaHouse also produces Eco-backgamon, Eco-Monopoly, or what?
... well, they do have Eco-Unbalance and Eco-ABC Puzzle.
